🔥FINISHED 2D/3D BARREL HORSE🔥

For your consideration - SOLID, SEASONED, (handsome) and SANE! JD is a 2D locally, 3D super show horse who has placed in the 1D several times with the right rider, and has the ability to be a 1D horse consistently. Very automatic gelding. He can go from professional rodeos one week, to high school rodeo the next and never miss a beat. Free runner to the first and then a push style to the rest. JD is broke, moves off your leg, counter bends, all the fancy buttons. John Denver is currently shared between a professional barrel racer who has competed at the NFR Open and a 12 year old who uses him as a backup!

Eats/drinks on the road and will pen overnight. No buck, rear, or spook. No alley or gate issues. He will walk up the alley on a snug rein, feet on the ground, and no problems. DOES NOT run on lasix!! Has NEVER been injected (only because he’s never needed it!!) Denver has great feet - he’s barefoot in the off season and shod to work! Would be great for a high school rider on up. Nothing phases him.

JD has the brain to compete all weekend, then put your husband on him for a trail ride. He will stand tied all day at the trailer with or without a friend, hacks out alone or in a group, gets along with any horse and stalls like an angel.

Other than barrels, he’s been roped off of, runs a great set of poles, & has competed in gymkhana shows. On the trails, he will climb a mountain, jump over a log or swim through a creek if you ask him to! Ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley too low.

He is great with the vet/farrier, stands tied, loads/unloads from the trailer (and can self load), stalls amazing (he loves it), bathes well, is easy to catch, and gets along well with other horses (middle man on the totem pole). He has no known health issues. John Denver’s current diet is 3 pounds of proforce fuel grain twice daily during competition and free choice alfalfa hay. He has no bad habits. No cribbing, pawing, or weaving. JD can sit and ride off the same. He is in shape and ready for someone to go on with!

True UNICORN. The owner is only rehoming due to having young horses coming up that she needs to focus her time on. No fault of his own. Has been owned and trained by the same family since 2020 - JD is UTD on coggins, vaccines, worming, and teeth.
